The PHOTOWENT® system is the most technologically advanced odor neutralization system. It uses the phenomenon of photocatalysis and the reducing properties of ozone.
In the PHOTOWENT® system, gaseous odorants are oxidized to odor-neutral compounds. The unit's UV lamp assembly produces ozone which mixes with the gas flowing through it. Ozone reacts with the odor-producing gases in the catalyst chamber. Activated carbon as a catalyst intensifies the oxidation reaction.
Speed and response time are appropriately selected to the needs of a given application. There is no risk of ozone release external to the device, because its concentration is kept only in such a range as to effectively eliminate gaseous air pollutants from the flowing stream. The entire process is completely automated. The operation of the PHOTOWENT® filter is economically advantageous compared to standard solutions using active carbons, because the carbon catalyst has several times greater durability than the adsorption beds used in the same application. Activated carbon becomes saturated after a longer period of operation, thus reducing the costs associated with its regeneration or replacement. Particularly noteworthy is the very small area occupied by the device in relation to its capacity. Like other filter solutions offered by EKOFINN-POL, the system can be equipped with an on-line odor-producing gas measurement system at the inlet and outlet, and each device can be optionally equipped with the MONITEL® monitoring system, allowing for remote online readings of odor-producing gases. with data archiving.
