The CARBOWENT® range of equipment uses the phenomenon of adsorption on active carbon to effectively eliminate odor-causing compounds. The standard range of air flows for the range of carbon filters offered by EKOFINN-POL ranges from 400 to 12,000 m3 / h. At the user's request, versions with higher capacity are possible.
The CARBOWENT® system consists of an adsorption installation that contains chemical sorbents, including active carbons selected individually for a given application. Depending on the type of facility, impregnated, catalytic or general purpose carbons are used. On the surface of the adsorbent, both outside and inside the granules, the components of the flowing gas are separated and retained. The neutralization time depends on the gas composition and its impurities content. Prior to carbon filtration, the gas should be mechanically dedusted and free from liquid droplets to increase the effectiveness of the adsorbent itself.
The CARBOWENT® system is equipped as standard with a mechanical filter, a drop eliminator, a fan and an activated carbon chamber. The removal of odors in the device is very effective. The efficiency is close to 100%. The process continues until the carbon bed is saturated. The used cartridge should be regenerated or utilized and replaced with a new one, which in the case of the CARBOWENT® system is extremely simple to do. The operation of the device is automated and controlled by a control system that is an integral part of the filter equipment. The parameters measured during operation are the process temperature, and the pressure in the bed. The system can be equipped with an on-line odor-producing gas measurement system at the inlet and outlet. The plants can be optionally equipped with the MONITEL® monitoring system, which allows for remote online readings of odor-causing gases and data archiving.
