Radial blowers, called TURBO blowers, use air bearing technology derived from the design of jet aircraft engines. Radial blowers, thanks to their many advantages, and above all energy savings, are gaining increasing popularity in applications for aeration processes in wastewater treatment plants. Selected technical parameters: • Pressure: up to 1,200 mbar (g) • Capacity: up to 26,500 m³ / h
The basis of the technology used in turbo blowers is centrifugal compression, which generates pressure by converting kinetic energy (velocity) into static energy (pressure). Compression takes place in the blower compression stage.
A key aspect of turbo technology is the need for high rotational speed in order to reach the operating pressure level. This is generated by a high-speed motor (PMSM) with the highest level of efficiency and reliability, coupled with a high-frequency drive (inverter). Both subassemblies are controlled by a PLC which, by monitoring the operating parameters, also ensures the highest operational safety. In addition, thanks to the advanced algorithms used, the device can adjust the rotational speed and thus the efficiency to the needs of, for example, aeration of sewage, without the need for user intervention.
The operation of the entire system would not be possible without the use of air bearings using the principle of levitation of the rotor by generating hydrodynamic pressure between the rotating part (shaft) and the fixed components during the operation of the machine. This principle of operation almost completely eliminates friction, and at the same time gives the highest efficiency.
Poland is one of the leaders on the map of Europe in the implementation of radial blowers, especially in wastewater treatment plants. Investors are convinced by the most important advantages of ROBOX TURBO turbo blowers. Amongst these are:
These and other advantages of radial blowers result from the unique combination of anti-friction air bearing technology, a lightweight aluminum rotor, a high efficiency synchronous sine wave motor (PMSM) and a high frequency drive.
